Scrawl is built by writers, for writers. We collect only what we need to make the product work and we do not sell your data. Ever.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. We store the notes, projects, and session data you create inside Scrawl. We also collect basic usage data (session lengths, word counts, streak activity) to power your analytics dashboard.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Scrawl service. We use your email to send product updates and important notices. We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Google Sign-In

Scrawl uses Google OAuth for authentication. We receive only the information Google provides during sign-in (your name and email). We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google service.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase. Notes and session data are associated with your account and are not publicly accessible.

Your rights

You can export your notes at any time. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at hello@getscrawl.com. We will action this within 30 days.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email. Continued use of Scrawl after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
