Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

By using Scrawl you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language because we think that is better for everyone.

What Scrawl is

Scrawl is a writing habit app currently in public beta. Features may change, and the service is provided as-is while we continue to build it. We will always be transparent about significant changes.

Your account

You must be 13 or older to use Scrawl. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@getscrawl.com.

Your content

Everything you write in Scrawl belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your notes or any other content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Scrawl to store or distribute illegal content, to attempt to access other users' accounts, or to reverse-engineer the service. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Beta disclaimer

Scrawl is in beta. This means features are still being built and occasional bugs or downtime may occur. We will do our best to keep the service stable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access during this period.

Data and deletion

You can request full deletion of your account and data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Changes to the service

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of Scrawl after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
